With the aim of
creating a comfortable environment in facilities such as stores, office
buildings, hotels and hospitals, Hitachi Appliances has developed System
Free, a packaged air conditioner that enables systems to be designed
according to customer needs. We have also commercialized Hi-Inverter IVX,
which achieves industry-leading high efficiency. In recognition of its
excellent energy-saving function, this product was awarded the Minister
Prize of Economic, Trade and Industry at the 2005 (16th) Energy
Conservation Grand Prize for excellent energy conservation equipment.
Furthermore, we are at the forefront of delivering one-of-a-kind
technologies through offering products such as an ice storage system using
nighttime electricity, a chiller unit and compact refrigerating equipment
that employs scroll and screw compressors, a highly efficient absorption
chiller and a large centrifugal chiller for district heating and cooling
systems. |

The Shirokumakun room air
conditioner equipped with a double accelerator system realizes high
efficiency through PAM (pulse amplitude modulation) control technology and
software technology enabling increased energy efficiency and temperature
and humidity control, for which this product subsequently received the
Chairman Prize of the Energy Conservation Center, Japan at the 2004 (15th)
Energy Conservation Grand Prize for excellent energy conservation
equipment. Additionally, we are contributing to creating comfortable and
healthy living environments through launching an air conditioner in 2005
equipped with "Nano & Plasma" technologies that eliminate pollen by
approximately 99%*.

control system based on HACCP standards being introduced at food
processing plants, Hitachi Appliances develops and supplies
low-temperature control systems to meet the needs of various facilities.
Additionally, our low control technology is actively employed in many
other areas such as food storage as well as amusement facilities that
include ice skating rinks and artificial ski slopes. |
