Key Benefits
| 1. Reduce in Power Requirement of
Cooling Water Pump and Installation Space of Cooling Tower by Increasing
Cooling Water Outlet Temperature and Reducing Cooling Water Flow Rate. |
|
 |
| -Increased in cooling water outlet temperature to 40șC
(compared with conventional machines of Hitachi operating at cooling water
temperatures 32șC to 38șC) and reduce in cooling flow rate by 25% means 25%
reduction in power requirement for cooling water pump and employment of one
size smaller cooling water pipes. |
| 2. Increased in Part Load Efficiency |
|
 |
| -A range of refrigerating capacity from 100% to 30%, at
specific steam consumption of 4.3 kg/RT or less (cooling water temperature:
32șC) makes higher efficiency operation possible even in seasons of lower
cooling water inlet temperature. |
| 3. Compact Machine Requiring 25%
Less Installation Space (Compared with Conventional Machine of HITACHI) |
|
 |
| -Installation space is reduced by 25% by optimizing the
layout of the passage of vaporized refrigerant, employing high-performance
heat exchanger tube, restructuring the machine and using the advantages of
parallel flow. (2,000 RT class machines). |
| 4. Increased Reliability by the
Employment of Low Concentration Cycle |
|
 |
| -In corrosion environment, the new machine can operate at
high level of reliability for a long time by employing low-concentration
absorbent cycle. |
| 5. Improved Operational Stability by
Accurate Control of Cooling Water Outlet Temperature (1,200 to 2,500 RT) |
|
 |
| -Hitachi developed the Super-Large Absorption with high
response for accurate and stable control cooling water outlet temperature
for half of its capacity, makes it ideal for district cooling and heating. |
Key Benefits
Excellent Performance with More Energy Savings, Excellent Efficiency at a
Much Lower Cost.
At Hitachi, basing ourselves on cooling technology and know-how acquired over
many years, we put into practice our latest proprietary technology. Through the
use of large chilled water/cooling water temperature differential adaptability
and provision of a high-functionality microcomputer as a standard control panel,
superior reliability and durability are realized, while achieving running
efficiency. As an item of new-age cooling equipment Hitachi's one step ahead
chiller contributes to the realization of total energy-saving and low cost in
air-conditioning system.
Hitachi's proven high-efficiency combustion technology and earnest desire to
conserve the global environment together have brought about the next generation
of chiller-heater the "New Koala EX Series". The EX Series does not use any CFC
and is quiet & energy-efficient. Hitachi has attained the COP of 1.05 (with city
gas/LPG) with its small to medium-sized chillers (up to 352 KW) [10% saving of
energy compared with the conventional models] and cleared the stringent NOx
emission standard [less than 30ppm (with city gas)]. Featuring easy operation,
high controllability and good maintainability, the EX series represents
chiller-heaters of the 21st century that incorporates Hitachi's advanced
technologies.
| 1. Low Energy and Low Cost |
|
 |
| -By means of the new cooling water flow system (ACA flow), a
standard frame size accommodating large chilled water/cooling water
temperature differential is realized. By improvement of control of solution
circulating quantity, a 10% improvement in average load factor is achieved
in partial load characteristics (as compared with previous models). |
|
 |
-A high functionality microcomputer control panel with a
complete set of preventive maintenance and abnormality forecast functions is
a standard feature.
Standard cooling capability realizing up to 4,000 hrs/yr operation. |
| 3. Superior Operability and Easy
Maintenance |
|
 |
-Operating condition or abnormalities are quickly shown on
easy-to-see liquid crystal digital and LED displays.
Full automation of purging operation is realized by use of water ejector
purging device which does not use electricity and can purge out any non-condensable
gases.
Compatible with air conditioning system interfaces and supports introduction
of remote supervision system. |
| 4. Large-Temperature-Differential
System. |
|
 |
-By using the large-temperature-differential system, the
circulating volumes of chilled and cooling water can be reduced.
The large-temperature-differential system reduces power needed for
circulating air and water, because of reduced volumes of the draught from
the air conditioner fan and of the circulating water from the hilled and
cooling water pumps. In addition, it makes such facilities as air ducts and
chilled/cooling water pipes smaller, and also reduces the initial cost for
them. |
| 5. High Efficiency Operation. |
|
 |
-In addition to the parallel flow system, Hitachi's new
proprietary flow technology (ACA flow technology) is employed in the cooling
water system. Without increasing the chiller frame size, the adaptation to
large chilled/cooling water temperature differentials has been made
possible.
Accordingly, energy-saving and low operating cost (by reduction of start-up
and other operating costs) are achieved not only for the chiller but for
air-conditioning as well. |
| 6. High Performance Microcomputer. |
|
 |
| -Electric power saving with large-temperature differential
chilled/cooling water system. |
